Five Minutes With Gliceryn

TRS 24/7 chats quickly the band GLICERYN:

gliceryn

Q: What aspect of music excites you the most right now?

A: All of it; the fact we’re getting to expose something we’ve worked so hard on to so many people is overall exciting.

Q: What’s the most unusual place you’ve ever played a show or made a recording? How did the qualities of that place affect the show/recordings?

A: We recorded some demo tracks in our bassists bedroom. Needless to say his cat was not pumped. Andrew and Christian, however, have played way too many weird house shows, both being in bands since high school.

Q:How often and for how long do you practice?

A: We’d like to practice as much as we can, usually, but schedule constraints plus shows can sometimes make that harder than you would think. Practices can vary anywhere from thirty minutes to two hours depending.

Q:Do you get nervous before a performance or a competition?

A: Before big shows it’s definitely common for one, if not all of us to get some butterflies in the tummy, but oddly enough I don’t think we’ve discussed that before an event.

Q: What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?

A: It’s a long way to the top if you wanna Rock and Roll. We’d really like to say that we’d be where we’ve always dreamed, but all we can do is put in hard work, and the leave the rest up to fate.
